Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe Vera has moisturizing and anti-aging properties. It has mucopolysaccharides which aids in binding moisture content in the skin. It is also rich in amino acids which soften hardened skin cells. Zinc content in the Aloe Vera acts as styptic and astringent tightening pores. Aloe Vera produces elastin fibers and collagen by stimulating fibroblast hence making the skin less wrinkled and more elastic.
Aloe vera can be used in its natural form directly or can be mixed with other natural ingredients to make different products like aloe vera juice, aloe vera lotions and cleansers, aloe vera creams among others. Below is one of the products.
To make an aloe vera cleanser and toner, you will need;
- 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel
- 1 teaspoon of honey

- A pinch of turmeric.

- 1 cup of blended grapes
- 2 tablespoon yogurt

Green tea leaves are a rich source of flavonoids which are known for the maintenance of collagen production in the body. They not only reverse the aging process but also maintain the skin elasticity making it glow. You can boil the green tea leaves, add some honey or brown sugar and consume it as a beverage.
You can also use the green tea leaves to make a cleanser. This is by boiling the green tea leaves with some water. When it has changed color remove from the fire and let it cool. Once cold take 2 tablespoon of it and mix with 1 teaspoon of cream and 2 teaspoons of brown sugar. Mix until it forms a thick paste. Apply it to the face and neck and then rinse after 15 minutes with cold water. Repeat the procedure twice or thrice a week for effective results. [5]
